Housing

Affordable Housing

Our party understands that despite the current efforts to make housing affordable in Singapore, there are still many who struggle to afford a house. Low income households still have difficulties purchasing flats because of various factors which includes physical disabilities, old age, and unemployment.  We aim to bring into light the struggles faced by people in the low-income groups who face trouble buying flats, and help them Singaporeans get a home in their homeland.

Proposal:

  • Means-testing and Income ceiling to guide purchase ability.

  • Include subsidies for wider range of low-income families, and other households that need help e.g. single parent households.

Transport

Efficient Transport System

Our party hopes to re-instill Singaporeans’ confidence in our public transport system which has been riddled with trouble in recent years. Moreover, we also want to gradually urge current and potential car owners to opt for public transport or greener cars in our vision in creating a car-lite and environmentally friendly society.

Proposal:

  • Take a step towards a car-lite society by first eliminating problematic high-carbon emission vehicles, with incentivising obtaining environmentally friendly vehicles (i.e. Lower COE)

  • Provide cashback and reward systems for EZLINK

  •  Step-up maintenance and monitoring of trains. Buses to undergo checks at stipulated mileages. Initiate big data collection of riding schedules to better serve citizens' needs.

Social Stratification

Social

Inclusivity

&

Equal Opportunities

Despite being one of the richest countries in the world, many Singaporeans still face financial difficulties. We have a straining income gap that has created class divisions  within the nation. This very division affects opportunities presented to individuals which can perpetuate social standing and stratification. For a one, united Singapore, we need to tackle the increasing social stratification and lend a helping hand to fellow struggling Singaporeans. Hence, we aim to bridge the gap in education and income to ensure social inclusivity and rich potential for social mobility.

Proposal:

  • Ensure equal opportunities by lending a helping hand to those who need it most, in multiple levels of life: pre-school, school, households etc.

  • Expect to see things like more scholarships, vouchers for household groceries and public transport.

  • Facilitate more interactions across demographics starting in primary schools.
